[English text below] Seit letztem Sonntag ist die TdF11 vorbei. Ich habe sicherlich nicht alle Projekte geschafft, aber immerhin doch einiges getan. Immerhin kann ich stolz behaupten, jeden Tag gesponnen zu haben, auch wenn es arbeitsbedingt manchmal nur einige Minuten waren. Ich habe zwei Garne fertiggestellt, ein Langzeitprojekt (Spice) weiterbetrieben und zwei neue Spinnprojekte angefangen. Das von mir geplante Halloween-Garn und die Coils habe ich mir aber ganz fest als nächste Ziele für die nahe Zukunft vorgenommen. Ich habe ja schon alle Zutaten hier liegen, dann sollten sie auch bald versponnen werden.

Rückblickend kann ich nur sagen: Das war ne tolle Erfahrung und fast magisch, wie rund um den Erdball Tausende Garn gesponnen haben und gleichzeitig an diesem Event teilnahmen. Für mich war es ein erhoffter Tritt in den Hintern, um abends dann doch mal wieder öfters zur Spindel zu greifen, sich ans Rad zu setzen oder langgeplante Projekte endlich mal in die Tat umzusetzen.  Mein am Anfang der Tour gesponnenes Garn Treasures of the Ocean hat mich so angezeckt, dass ich es auch direkt schon während der Tour noch schnell verstricken musste. Aber die Bilder kommen dann in einem eigenen Beitrag. So, jetzt gibt es aber erstmal ein paar Bilder. Viele Garne sind inzwischen schon weiter angewachsen und ich habe auch nicht jeden Tag Fotos gemacht, da man die Fortschritte manchmal gar nicht sehen konnte.

1. The unknown yarn
Ich vermute, dass es Merino ist. Den Kammzug hatte ich Anfang des Jahres geschenkt bekommen und seitdem von Zeit zur Zeit Ply on the fly versponnen. Die restlichen 100 g werden demnächst zu Coils transformiert.

2.  Spice
Eines meiner liebsten Ply-on-the-Fly-Langzeigtprojekte, dass während der TdF11 gut angewachsen ist. Zusammen mit der kleinen selbstgemachten Tonspindel passt die Wolle auch gut in eine Handtasche zum Mitnehmen.

This spindle and the wool is a long time project for me. The selfmade spindle out of clay is nice an small and together with the woolbag it fits just right in one of my countless handbags. :-)A perfect little in-between-project you can just lay aside, for waiting in the waiting room or something else. So I also take part with this yarn in the TdF11. I am spinning the wool ply on the fly – it’s really a joy with this material.

3. Silk Hankies
Die Hankies habe ich schon letztes Jahr gefärbt. Jetzt habe ich mich endlich mal getraut sie zu verspinnen.

4. Spinnen mit der Kreuzspindel

Frisch ertauscht war die Kreuzspindel dann auch direkt meine Challenge für die TdF11 – gesponnen hatte ich mit dieser Spindelform jedenfalls noch nie. Hat viel Spaß gemacht, auch wenn es sehr auf das Daumengelenk geht – überlege jetzt schon den Kauf der nächsten Spindel.

Since last Sunday TdF11 is over. I couldn’t finish all my projects but managed to do quiet a bit. At least I can say with pride that I did spin every day even if it was only for a few minutes for work related reasons. I finished two yarns, made some progress on my long term project (Spice) and started two new spinning projects. The Halloween yarn and the coils I had planned will definitely be done in the very near future. As I have got all the ingredients already they should also be used. Looking back I have to say it was a great experience and the way thousands of people around the globe simultaneously took part in this event and spun yarn was almost magically. To me it was the kick in the butt I had hoped for to take up the spindle more often in the evenings, to sit at the wheel and to finally start working on projects that I had planned for quiet a while. The first yarn I spun during the Tour „Treasure of the Ocean“ turned me on so much I had to knit something out of it directly. The pictures of that project will be part of a separate entry. But here are a few pictures of the TdF11 projects. Many of the yarns have grown even more by now and I didn’t take pictures every day, because the progress was sometimes barely visible.
